Good morning, dear brothers and friends
The situation of Coronavirus is causing a lot of stress, anxiety and fear in people. The best way to deal with this situation is to avoid external situations affecting our inner peace, especially if they are beyond our control. You may be distressed by this pandemic, economic insecurity, or isolation.
Let us remember that God is our comfort and we all need Him
Where are we going for comfort? The answer is found in the book of Isaiah chapter 49, verse 13. He tells us: We must shout with joy because the Lord comforts His people and has compassion for the poor. This promise is for you to turn to Him and pour out your pain in prayer. God is always there for you.
Thanks to today’s technology, we are more connected than ever. We can use apps like Zoom, live Facebook or Instagram or video calls by WhatsApp to keep in touch. I exhort you to use these resources to devote prayer time to family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and everyone. Together we can study the Bible, worship our Heavenly Father, and pray as a family.
We invite you to send messages of exhortation to the brethren with positive messages from the word of God.
God’s promise is to comfort us
As James 1:2-4 says, it is written that we must: “… My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
What if we focus our energy on giving thanks for the things we already have in our lives and for the trials. And thus, stop paying so much attention to the things that we don’t have. I believe that we would live more at peace, in harmony and abundant love. Remember that where you put your focus you put your energy. What do you guys think?
My prayer to God
Heavenly Father, trials and sorrows are a normal part of life. I don’t like the truth of these situations, but it reminds me of my need for you, God. I’m encouraged by the fact that You’ll have the last word. I praise you because you are powerful and sovereign over my life.
